How LiveVox works

How does an organizer start?

Sign in, create an event, choose public or passcode access, and share the listener link. Two-factor authentication is optional from the account page.

What do listeners install?

Nothing. They open the link in a modern browser and press Listen.

Can listeners pause or rewind?

Yes. The live player uses DVR, so listeners can pause, seek backward, or jump to the live edge.

Are events recorded?

Yes. Recordings stay hidden from listeners until the organizer turns playback on for that event. The default file remains available for one hour after the broadcast ends. Organizers can choose permanent retention and later play, download, or delete the recording.

How do private events work?

The organizer sets a passcode. The same access rule protects live DVR and replay.

What happens when an account is deleted?

Events, recordings, sessions, and associated Cloudflare media resources are removed.

Why is live audio slightly delayed?

HLS DVR adds several seconds of latency so playback can pause, rewind, and recover cleanly.
